Marcel Luske (PokerStars)
One of poker’s true flamboyant characters, Marcel Luske is known for his sharp suits, upside-down glasses and propensity to burst spontaneously into song at the poker table. His poker playing first caught our attention in 2004 and 2005 when he made back-to-back deep runs in the WSOP Main Event, 24th and 10th, respectively. Luske has numerous cashes in the WSOP and in 2005 made the final table of the EPT Grand Final, finishing seventh. That same year, he won the €10,000 Hall of Fame Poker Classic in Paris for €119,000. He was European Poker Awards Player of the Year in 2001 and 2004. Unlike many of his generation, he was quick to embrace the internet age and has mentored many of the younger generation of players, including Noah Boaken and Patrik Antonius.
