The WPT has released dates and locations for the US stops on the upcoming Season VIII of the World Poker Tour. Twelve events in the US begin with the Bellagio Cup in mid-July and culminate at the $25,000 WPT Championship in April 2010.

Peter Eastgate, the winner of the 2008 WSOP Main Event is to face runner and fellow Poker Stars pro Ivan Demidov in a one off online re-match. The ‘Phoenix From The Flames’ style recreation takes place on Poker Stars at 11pm UK time on 26th June with the stack sizes, blinds and antes exactly the same as they were when they went to heads up play last year.
