Chris Phillips wins Dusk Till Dawn Deepstack
The prospects for graduates entering the job market this summer are said to be the worst in living memory. Scraping the cash together to pay off tuition fees shouldn’t be a problem for recent university graduate Chris Phillips though. The youngster outlasted a field of 322 players to scoop the £28,324 at the Dusk Till Dawn Deepstack over the weekend.
International Poker Open schedule announced
The Regency Hotel in Dublin will play host to the 2009 International Poker Open from 16th to 18th October 2009. Sponsor BoylePoker has added an extra $25,000 to the prize pool to the $225+$25 buy in event that is expected to attract a bumper field of 1,300 players.

Grosvenor Victoria London Championships Begin Today.
Today, the Grosvenor Victoria London Poker Championship begins, running a host of events including Pot-Limit Omaha and Dealer’s Choice, until culminating with a £2,500 Unibet-sponsored Main Event that wraps up the tournament series on July 19.
FTOPS Tournament Series XIII Announced
Full Tilt Poker have now released details and a schedule for the thirteenth incarnation of their Full Tilt Series of Poker (FTOPS) online tournament series. In the last series the tournaments missed several guarantees when the mini-FTOPS series, a smaller buy-in collection of tournaments running in tandem with the large events, was introduced.

Paddy Power has announced the full schedule for their Irish Winter Festival which takes place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin from 23rd to 26th October 2009. Barney Frank Anti-UIGEA Bill Delayed
As if the worldwide economic crisis wasn’t irritating enough, it has now further delayed the legalisation of online poker - as Barney Frank’s bill defying the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has been postponed until at least September.
Russian Wins European Masters of Poker Prague
The third European Masters of Poker, held in Prague, was won by Russian player Vladislav Shuravin who beat a 163-strong field at the Spearmint Casino to win a first-place prize of just under €40,000.
