Final table finish for James666 and TEAM PKR
Team PKR have been quick to make their mark at the WSOP after PKR pro James ‘James666’ Sudworth placed 7th in the WSOP $2,500 No Limit six-handed event to the tune of $54,777.
Ivey Wins Bracelet Number 7 in WSOP Event #25
Phil Ivey doesn’t win bracelets at the WSOP often. However, when he does, he seems to win them in bulk. His victory in the $2,500 Omaha 8/Stud 8 championship is his second bracelet of this year and his seventh lifetime.
Kevin Parkes wins GUKPT Summer Series opener
The first leg of the GUKPT Summer Festival took place over the weekend at Bolton’s G Casino. The £500 buy-in Main Event attracted a field of 75+ runners and was eventually won by Walsall’s Kevin Parkes who picked up a top prize of £12,700. The van salesman beat a final table which included Andy Bradshaw, Greg Hunt and Lee Atherton before seeing off Allan McLean heads up.
Panayote Vilandos Trumps a Huge WSOP Event #24 Field
Panayote “Pete” Vilandos has triumphed over a monstrous field of 2,506 players in Event #24 to take home a whopping $607,276 first-place prize. The 69-year-old joined Doyle Brunson in proving that you don’t have to be young to play poker.

Jeffrey Carris Wins WSOP Event #22, NLHE Shootout
Exactly 1,000 players put up $1,500 cold hard cash to compete in the WSOP Event #22, the No-Limit Hold ‘em shootout match. Jeffrey Carris, backed by almost 30 fans cheering themselves hoarse at the rail, won three tables in fine succession to take the title, the bracelet and $313,673.
Bodog.com is back
Bodog.com, one of the big names in American online gaming, has announced that it has settled a two-year legal dispute with now defunct supplier company 1st Technology. The deal will enable it to trade under the Bodog.com domain again.

Zac Fellows Wins Event #21, $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.
A few years ago, triple figures registering for a mixed game tournament would have been unheard of. Now with the growing popularity of other poker variants, it’s unsurprising that 452 people registered for the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event.
GUKPT Summer Series Begins in Bolton
The GUKPT can trace its roots back to January 2007 when Praz Bansi defeated a near-200 field to win the very first GUKPT championship. Now the casino has been rebranded as the G Casino and hosts its inaugural summer series.
Britain’s John-Paul Kelly wins WSOP Event #20
After a few near misses we finally have a British victory to celebrate at this year’s World Series. John-Paul Kelly outlasted 632 players including John Juanda, Andy Bloch, Allen Cunningham, Brandan Cantu, Jason Mercier and JC Tran to claim the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold ‘Em title.
