Gus Hansen wins WSOPE Heads Up High Roller
After a three-day delay, Gus Hansen and Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy played out the final match of their best of three heads-up final. The result: Gus Hansen joins Phil Laak on the list of new bracelet winners and few people deserve it more.
World Series of Poker Europe Day 3 completed
The £10,350 Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe is down to a final 22 players who return at noon today in order to decide who will be at the final table in competition for a £830,401 first prize and a WSOP bracelet.

Viktor Blom is just a sick, sick individual. There is no other way to say it. At this juncture it doesn’t even matter if he is Isildur1 or not – he obviously is but he’s still keeping schtum about it – because having watched him tear through the field at the £10,350 WSOPE Main Event I am fully prepared to believe that I am watching one of the best No Limit Hold ‘em players in the world. And he’s 19 years old!
World Series of Poker Europe Day 2 completed
Yesterday we witnessed the 195 survivors from Day 1a and Day 1b play down to a field of just 66 who return to The Empire at noon in order to make it first into the money and then to the last 27 players. Each of the last 36 will be guaranteed a £21,106 payday with a first prize of £830,401 on offer for the winner.
WSOPE Heads Up High Roller final to conclude tonight
In the end, three days was just not enough to whittle the 103-strong field in the WSOPE Heads Up High Roller £10,350 event down to one winner. Instead, Gus Hansen and Jim Collopy battled until 3am before calling it a day with one game apiece and the decider still to play.
Who is RaiseOnce on PokerStars?
A few months ago, people took notice of a player on PokerStars (location: Las Vegas) named ‘RaiseOnce’ who was a regular at the high stakes Limit Hold ‘em and mixed game tables on PokerStars. More recently, this player won the $25,500 Heads Up WCOOP championship for almost $400,000.

World Series of Poker Europe Day 2 begins today
This year, 346 players attained a £10,350 entry fee through stakes, satellites or just being rich and good at poker (the latter often leads to the former). This included a record-breaking Day 1b that saw 210 players put up the dough; 119 survived to rejoin Day 2 which begins at noon today.
