Leeds isn't quite as tempting as Calahonda in Spain at this time of year but one person who certainly won't be complaining about the move to Yorkshire is Lorraine Firth.
48 players gathered at the Alea Casino in Leeds (rather than the originally scheduled venue on the Costa del Sol) on Saturday for the latest leg of the Betfred Tour.In the end it was Lorraine Firth who outlasted the field to take the title, a first prize of £1,720 and with it a place in the end of season grand final where a Betfred sponsorship package is up for grabs. Lorraine will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of daughter Helen who in addition to winning the Swansea leg of last year's tour took the £20k sponsorship package. The Western Club in London will be the venue for the next leg of the Betfred Ladies Tour on Saturday 6th November. The same venue will also be the host for the end of season play off on 20th November when one lucky player will scoop the sponsorship deal. Qualifiers are running at Betfred PokerThe final table placings in Leeds were as follows:1 Lorraine Firth £1,7202 Karen Walton £1,2203 Deborah Heard £9204 Helena Brett £6105 Cora Wan £4306 Maria Ahern £3707 Teresa Kitson £3008 Julia Gerrard £1809 Laden Lundon £140 Image courtesy of Rock Poker Online.
