Sam Trickett enjoyed one of the best days of his life yesterday after winning an amazing $10m score in the WSOP Big One for One Drop. His post tournament celebrations ended on a sour note though after he was attacked by a group of men in Vegas.

The English Poker Open makes a welcome return later this year with the Fox Poker Club in London the venue for the £250,000 guaranteed event which runs from 18-21 September 2012.
Antonio Esfandiari wins Big One for One Drop
Antonio Esfandiari was a picture of disappointment last week after losing a huge chip lead in the WSOP $3k Shootout event to bust out in third place. What a difference a week can make though as the Magician erased any bad memories from that horror show after winning the Big One for One Drop tournament for an eye popping $18m.
Peter Olsen wins WPT National Madrid
Peter Olsen has won the latest World Poker Tour National Event in Madrid. The Dane outlasted a 166 field at the Spanish capital's Gran Casino to pocket a first prize of €60,000. Not bad for someone playing in his first ever live tournament.
Grant Allen wins July's Palm Beach Big Game
Despite the competing attractions of the World Series a healthy field of 47-runners was on hand for the latest leg of the £1,000 buy-in Big Game at London's Palm Beach Casino.
