This year's World Series of Poker is just three weeks away now and one of the biggest names in the game has thrown down a wager to spice up the bracelet action.
Sonelin heads hunt for €1.5m first prize at EPT Madrid
After PokerStars pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier took down the €25,000 High Roller event for €525,000 the Main Event of the European Poker Tour Grand Final began in Madrid. Both opening flights are now complete with a total of 686 entries and a prize pool of €6.86m; the winner is set to walk away with €1.5m.
World Series of Poker Circuit Chester Day 1 complete
Day 1 of the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah’s Chester $1,600 event drew a field of 269 players with 55 surviving the first day and edging closer to the first prize of $94,901. A bearer of the winningest name in poker, Huy Nguyen, is leading the overnight chip counts. This comes shortly after his WSOP-C victory at Oklahoma in January.

Poker site offices raided in Costa Rica
The Costa Rican offices of Innovative Data Solutions (IDS), the former customer service centre for Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, have been raided by the Organismo de Investigaciones Judiciale (OIJ), the island's equivalent of the FBI.
Galen Hall heads EPT Madrid High Roller
Galen Hall is the man to beat heading into the final table of the €25k EPT High Roller event in Madrid today. The American starts the day with 798,000 chips, just ahead of Benny Spindler and Juha Helppi who return with 710,00 and 707,000 respectively.
