First four UKIPT 2012 dates revealed
PokerStars has revealed details of the first four confirmed dates for the 2012 UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT). The action gets under way with a €100,000 guaranteed event at Galway's Radisson Hotel from 16th to 20th February with further stops in Nottingham, Dublin and Newcastle also confirmed. Buy ins for season 3 have also increased from £500/€500 to £700/€700.
Mario Puccini leading EPT Loutraki after Day 1b.
As expected, Day 1b of EPT Loutraki attracted a far larger crowd than Day 1a with almost 200 players registering for the second flight. At the end of play, Mario Puccini (believe it or not, a German) leads the field with 159,150.
Gus Hansen gunning for Racketlon world cup title
Gus Hansen, besides regularly directing his Twitter followers to his blog, has been pretty quiet on the poker front recently. We have found out that this is because he is aiming to become the world champion of little-known sport Racketlon.
Top names in London for today's IFP Nations Cup
Plenty of top names will be in London this week for the inaugural International Federation of Poker Nations Cup which starts today. The event, which is part of the London Mind Sports Festival, pits teams from 12 countries in a series of duplicate poker matches.

EPT Loutraki starts today
The PokerStars European Poker Tour heads to Loutraki this week for its first ever tournament in Greece. The action in the €4,400 Main Event has just got under way with plenty of big names on hand for the first of two opening day flights.
