Phil Ivey’s divorce drama continues

Luciaetta Ivey, ex-wife of poker legend Phil, has fired the third barrel in their divorce case by asking the Nevada Supreme Court to disqualify the presiding judge. The judge in question received campaign contributions from Phil Ivey.

“The public is entitled to know that impartiality is the rule for the judiciary,” says Mrs. Ivey’s petition. “Further, Luciaetta is entitled to fairness and the appearance of fairness before this court.”


Family Court Judge Bill Gonzalez received approximately $5,000 from Phil Ivey personally during his re-election campaign. The divorce was granted in December 2009 and these contributions were made in the early part of 2010.
