Demo Kirlopoulos is the Caribbean king after winning the second annual Punta Cana Poker Classic in the Dominican Republic. The Canadian outlasted a field of 415 runners that included the likes of Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott, Humberto Brenes, Amanda Leatherman, Evelyn Ng, Tatjana Pasalic and fresh from his recent stint on Sky Poker and sporting a rather wonderful Movember tache, McLean Karr.

The Partouche Poker Tour concluded its own November Nine last night with Partouche Poker TourSam Trickett winning the €1m first prize; amazingly this is his third seven-figure score of 2011. With this, he also moves to the top of the England all-time tournament money list ahead of the Devilfish.

Home win at Master Classics of Poker
Dutch poker fans had a home win to celebrate in the 20th running of the Master Classics of Poker with David Boyaciyan taking the title. The 32-year-old outran a field of 294 runners in Amsterdam to pocket a first prize of €382,200.
US Department of Justice responds to Black Friday complaint.
Two of the men indicted by Black Friday had sought to get the indictments thrown out on the grounds that the UIGEA did not apply to poker, it being a game of skill. The US Department of Justice responded with a 58-page counter-argument, including a case of mistaken identity in using country and western lyrics to prove a point. No, really.
