PokerStars splits with Joe Hachem
PokerStars has announced that it has parted company with Team Pro Joe Hachem. The 2005 World Champion's contract recently expired and the world's biggest online site has decided not to renew it.

Trickett is big in Macau
It sounds like Sam Trickett enjoyed his recent trip to Macau. According to his Twitter account, Trickett tangled “6 handed with Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan,$10k/20hkd” and put in some marathon hours including an, “insane session, played for 25 hours str8!”.
Wanny Piazza heads WPT Venice
Wanny Piazza is the man to beat heading into day 3 of the World Poker Tour event in Venice. The Italian will return to the table with a stack of 373,500 putting him just ahead of Marvin Rettenmaier on 330,000.

Romanello riding high at WPT Venice
As expected, a much bigger field was on hand for the second opening flight of WPT Venice with a total of 213 players paying the €3,300 buy-in. Of those, just 95 are back for day 2 with Andrea Dato leading the way on 217,300 followed by Raffaele Bertoluccit on 169,400 and Stephen O'Dwyer on 159,000.
