Isaac Haxton leads PCA $100k Super High Roller
The PCA has begun with 30 players paying up $100,000 to enter the Super High Roller – the first major poker tournament of the year, and a big one to boot. In total, the prize pool swelled to $3,136,000 after Bill Perkins and Jonathan Duhamel re-bought for another $98,500.

The inaugural WPT Ireland went pretty well for Day 1 with a field of 338 forgoing the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for some action in the Emerald Isle. Local player and Omaha specialist Dave Callaghan leads the way with 186,900 chips.

John Duthie steps down as EPT chief
After revealing earlier this week that he wouldn't be renewing his contract with PokerStars, John Duthie has announced that he is giving up his role as CEO of the European Poker Tour. Duthie founded the tour in 2004 and has seen it become one of the most prestigious and largest tournament series in the world.
