Absolute Poker co-founder pleads guilty

Absolute Poker co-founder Brent Beckley has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges at a hearing at Manhattan District Court. The 31-year-old admitted knowing that allowing banks to process the proceeds of online poker was illegal. Beckley also admitted a charge of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and wire fraud.

Chris Klodnicki has won the $20,000 Epic Poker Mix Max event after an, excuse the pun, epic heads up battle. Klodnicki battled his way through the 100 runner field to set up a heads up clash with Andrew 'Luckychewy' Lichtenberger. The unique format of the Mix Max event meant that the pair played a best of three contest, with Klodnicki taking a two to one chip lead into each of the first two matches.

The man behind the armed robbery at last year's EPT Berlin Main Event has been jailed. Ibrahim al Moussa was given a sentence of six years and four months for his part in the raid which saw armed robbers make off with approximately €245,000.
