Aussie Millions Crowns Two Champions
One of the “big three” tournament series and the first of 2009 has started in Australia. The 2009 Aussie Millions has begun in Melbourne’s Crown Casino with an AU$1,100 No-Limit Hold ‘em event and an AU$1,050 No-Limit Hold ‘em event played on PokerPro electronic tables (guess it was last thing on a Friday afternoon in the “new tournament ideas” office).
Poorya Nazari Wins 2009 PCA
Don’t ask us how an event called the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure gets its winner a European Poker Tour title but it does. Going further into it would bring up ethical questions about the commonwealth and the British Empire so let’s just settle with the fact that Poorya Nazari has won $3,000,000.

PKR Launch New Updates To Their Online Poker Room
As if the state-of-the-art software and graphics weren’t impressive enough, PKR have decided to one-up the competition yet again by including over 50 new updates and changes to their online poker room.

Soon after news that Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and David Benyamine had accepted Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan’s multi-million dollar challenge the 22-year-old prodigy revealed the logic behind giving himself a 3-1 disadvantage in the 50,000 hand challenge.

In PokerRoad’s “Tuesdays with Ivey” segment, the legend that is Phil Ivey confirmed that he, David Benyamine and Patrik Antonius will all accept Tom “durrrr” Dwan’s $1.5m 50,000-hand challenge.
PCA $25k High Roller final table set
The second of the EPT’s $25,000 buy-in events saw a field consisting of Gus Hansen; Daniel Negreanu; Greg Raymer; Ivan Demidov; Barry Greenstein; Isaac Haxton and many more pay their $25k to compete.

Full Tilt Poker Release FTOPS XI Details
Following on from the immense success of FTOPS X, Full Tilt Poker's major tournament series is returning next month in its 11th incarnation. The 25 events will take place from the 4-15 February and the site are already guaranteeing $15m in prizes will be dished out.
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Prize Pool Announced
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, oddly enough a leg of the EPT (geography was never my strong point) has been underway for long enough to whittle down the 1,347-strong field somewhat. Long enough, too, to announce the prize pool distributions.
