The PokerStars Australia and New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) made its first-ever appearance at the SKYCITY Casino in Adelaide, Australia. Over 200 players made it a 3-day event that culminated in Melbourne resident and online qualifier Karl Krautschneider winning AU$170,215.

Day 2 of the WSOP circuit Main Event in Tunica was a very short affair. On Day 1, 154 players anted up just over $5,000 to play the event. Only 27 returned on Day 2 and within three hours the final table was set after Kathy Liebert and Va Shon Watkins busted together, sharing the 18th-place payout.
