FTOPS XI Heads-Up tournament dishes out $660k
The NBC Heads-Up championship is looming so Full Tilt figured: why not get in some practise? This came in the form of a $535 heads-up tournament eventually won by Luie Soja.

FTOPS XI Limit Hold ‘em pays out $44,327 to TOPTEN.
OK, so it might be the older, more boring brother of the game we all know and love but there’s nothing wrong with Limit Hold ‘em. In fact, the 1,603 people who paid out to enter the FTOPS XI Event #5 don’t think so at all.
Aussie Karl Krautschneider takes down ANZPT
The PokerStars Australia and New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) made its first-ever appearance at the SKYCITY Casino in Adelaide, Australia. Over 200 players made it a 3-day event that culminated in Melbourne resident and online qualifier Karl Krautschneider winning AU$170,215.

PaddyPower announce $1 rebuy to Irish Open.
Over the past years, the PaddyPower Irish Open has grown from strength to strength as it rivals the EPT and WSOP in terms of field and prize pool. Neil Channing’s 2008 victory (well done again, Neil) was for a chunk of a prize pool worth €3,000,000.
High Stakes Poker to air on March 1st
A lot of poker players’ underpants were browned at the idea of fantastic televised cash game High Stakes Poker not airing. Strong rumours, including from co-presenter AJ Benza, that the show would not return for a fifth season.

FTOPS XI begins today!
It seems there have been about 400 FTOPS tournaments in the last year or so but hey, we’re not complaining. We like tournaments and the seething jealousy you feel post-FTOPS when checking out the major scores hit by the winners.

Matt Stout leads final table of WSOP circuit event
Day 2 of the WSOP circuit Main Event in Tunica was a very short affair. On Day 1, 154 players anted up just over $5,000 to play the event. Only 27 returned on Day 2 and within three hours the final table was set after Kathy Liebert and Va Shon Watkins busted together, sharing the 18th-place payout.
