Neil Arce held the chiplead on Day 1a of the APT Manila. By the final table he was third in chips and faced internationally-known pros such as Liz Lieu and Kasey Castle.

World Series of Poker 2009 schedule announced
The WSOP organisers are confident that this year’s festival will break records. That’s a tall order given that last year over 50,000 people competed across 55 events for $180,000,000.

Argentinean wins inaugural PokerStars LAPT Chile
Fabian Ortiz, 39, has become the first and only Latin-American to win a PokerStars LAPT title after his victory in the inaugural Chile event. Ortiz is a former disco dancer but now takes to the tables rather than the floor.
