Irish Poker Classic qualifiers announced
Qualifiers are up and running for the Irish Poker Classic Festival with Paddy power Poker, Boyle Poker, Ladbrokes and Betfair all offering packages. The €1,100 buy in Main Event takes place at the Macau Sporting Club in Cork from 10th to 16th August with the prize pool guaranteed at €100,000.
Full Tilt Spanish Poker Series heads to Malaga
The summer may have disappointed in the UK so far but there are opportunities to escape the rain and play some top quality poker. The Casino Torrequebrada in Malaga will host the second leg of the Full Tilt Spanish Poker Series from 14th to 18th August 2009. The €1,500 buy-in event has a guaranteed prize pool of €150,000.
APPT Macau Schedule Announced.
The PokerStars.net Asian Pacific Poker Tour have announced a packed-out schedule for their Macau event beginning on August 15, with several re-buy, freezeout and bounty events up for grabs.

Barny Frank’s Anti-UIGEA Bill Reaches 50 Co-Sponsors
Bluff Europe are pleased to report that 50 members of the US Congress have signed on as co-sponsors of the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act (H.R. 2267), legislation introduced by Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services.
GUKPT resumes next week
After the three-leg Summer Series and its online festival, the GUKPT proper is back next week. Leg Six of the tour takes place at the G Casino in Luton from 1st to 9th August with top billing going to the £1000+£60 Main Event that starts on 6th August.
European Masters of Poker Hits Barcelona.
Over 500 poker players will be flooding into Spain today in order to compete in the €1,150 European Masters of Poker event in Barcelona. The leg follows a successful stint for the tour in Prague, and promises a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool for the Main Event.
Mayfair Maul and Super Stack schedule changes
Last week we brought you news of London Poker Circuit’s latest series of events, the fornightly Mayfair Maul and the monthly Super Stack. After receiving feedback from players the organisers have slightly amended the structure and schedule of these tournaments.
