Antoine Saout joins Team Everest Poker
Frenchman Antoine Saout will return to the final table of this year’s WSOP Main Event in Everest Poker colours after signing a deal with the online site. The 25-year-old from Saint Martin de Champs in Brittany qualified for the Main Event via Everest Poker and has cemented his relationship by becoming a member of Team Everest.
New Team Event at APT Macau
The Asian Poker Tour appears to have found a new team event to match the forthcoming Caesars Cup in London. The Battle of the Nations is a three-man team event that will pit players from two countries against each other in six-handed play. The team that knocks out all the opposition team is the winner.
Face the Ace Episode 2 – Gavin Smith defeats brave Topel
Despite a lot of hype for episode two of Face the Ace, owing to the fact that it could potentially deliver a million-dollar win for amateur player Don Topel, the series continued to find itself at the bottom of the rating for its timeslot.

Richard Gryko wins GUKPT Luton
Another bumper field gathered at Luton’s G Casino for the Main Event of the latest leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour. In the end it was Richard Gryko who outlasted the 304-runners to claim the first prize of £88,850 and a seat in the Champion of Champions event.
Scott Kerr wins the final event on the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour
The final event of the inaugural ANZPT came to a conclusion in Brisbane yesterday and appropriately enough it was left to an Aussie and a Kiwi to battle it out heads up. In the end it was Sydney’s Scott Kerr who claimed the title.
Mixed Martial Arts star, Randy Couture, to host charity event
Randy Couture, one of the biggest names in Mixed Martial Arts fighting is to host a charity event aimed at raising funds for injured soldiers and their families. The $330 buy in event with $100 re-buys takes place at the Golden Nugget Casino, Las Vegas at 2pm on Saturday 22 August.
