Record breaking pot in Million Dollar Cash Game
Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey have contested a record-breaking pot in Full Tilt’s Million Dollar Cash game. The huge hand came at the end of a 20-hour session with only Durrr, Ivey and Patrik Antonius still at the table.

The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker tournament series has been a good one for the pros recently – not only did Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and David “Lost to Raymer at the 2004 WSOP” Williams take down separate events over the weekend, but so did Terrence “Unassigned” Chan.

While the World Poker Tour Borgata event in Atlantic City has attracted over 1,000 players, plenty of people are setting their sights to December when the World Series of Poker Circuit event comes to the town, with buy-ins ranging from $230 to $5,150.

David La Ronde wins English Poker Open
The Colchester man beat a strong final table to claim the inaugural English Poker Open title and with it a first prize of £208,367. Swedish pro Michael Tureniec was the favourite going into the final table holding a handy chip lead over nearest rival John Eames. Neither could match Essex’s finest though.
Lock Poker goes on signings frenzy
Burgeoning online poker room Lock Poker has boosted its profile by adding 15 new names to their professional ranks. The new players include Irishmen Stephen Devlin and Joe Connolly and Newcastle’s Dan Smyth. They join a team that covers much of the poker world and includes players from throughout Europe, Australia and Latin America.
British Masters Of Poker Tour resumes today
With all the international high stakes action in the UK at the moment it’s easy to forget that the regular British poker circuit is running as normal. A case in point is the British Masters Of Poker series, which resumes in Liverpool today.
London Poker Circuit comes to an end
The organisers of the London Poker Circuit have announced that all of its events are suspended until further notice. LPC, which promoted a series of deep-stacked tournaments in some of London’s top hotels, put the move down to monetary considerations.

Michael Tureniec Leads English Poker Open Final
The English Poker Open final table was set at Nottingham’s premier poker venue, Dusk Til Dawn, last night. Leading the nine is Swedish pro Michael Tureniec, sitting atop a gargantuan stack of 405,000 chips.
