David Benyamine leads Merit Cyprus Classic High Roller
A host of top names have headed to Northern Cyprus for the Full Tilt Poker Merit Classic and David Benyamine leads the way in the $25,000 High Roller tournament.
WPT Legends of Poker begins tomorrow
Tomorrow the Bicycle Casino, Los Angeles, plays host to the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker event. For the first time sporting a buy-in of less than $10,000 in order to boost attendance, the $5,000 event will crown a series of 22 preliminary events ranging from $225 to $1,500.
UBOC 5 begins at Ultimate Bet and CEREUS poker.
It’s not quite FTOPS or the World Championship of Online Poker but Ultimate Bet began their own tournament series yesterday. The fifth run of the UB Online Championship kicked off yesterday with a $320 NL event ($30 bounty on each player) that guaranteed $200,000 of the total $4,000,000 offered across twenty tournaments.

Kevin Stani wins PokerStars EPT Tallinn for €400,000
Arnaud Mattern, Parisian resident and Team PokerStars Pro, was looking for his record-breaking second EPT title after his victory in Prague in 2007 – he came close to the first prize which would have made him an EPT legend and taken his tournament earnings to over $2,000,000 but couldn’t do better than a third place finish for €160,000.
