A host of top names have headed to Northern Cyprus for the Full Tilt Poker Merit Classic and David Benyamine leads the way in the $25,000 High Roller tournament.

The Frenchman ended the opening day on 285,500 chips, just ahead of closest rival Jon Turner on 278,200 with Nicolas Chouity third on 262,100. There are plenty of top names sprinkled amongst the 24 remaining players including the likes of Sam Trickett, Carter Philips, Bluff Europe cover star Sorel Mizzi and the biggest name of all Phil Ivey.

This year's WSOP November Nine are well represented too with Michael Mizrachi, John Dolan and Filippo Candio all still in the hunt.
