Andrey Pateychuk wins European Poker Tour San Remo
You may only know Andrey Pateychuk from his deep run in the World Series of Poker Main Event from this year, where he finished in 15th place to pick up almost half a million dollars. WPT World Poker Finals at Foxwoods begin today
The World Poker Tour World Poker Finals have returned to Foxwoods this week with the $10,000 Main Event beginning at noon local time today. One of the oldest events on the WPT circuit, it was first won in 2002 by – how’s this for poker history – Howard Lederer.
Former WSOP finalist Al Krux arrested for marijuana possession
Al Krux has joined the ranks of David Saab and Mike Matusow by being arrested for drug charges following poker success. Krux, along with his son Adam, were arrested after police discovered 40lbs of cannabis and 90 plants at Al’s home.
Derry poker players lose court case
A group of poker players in Northern Ireland have failed in their attempt to get £23,700 seized by police, returned. 38 players were taking part in a £170 + £80 rebuy tournament at a club in Derry in December 2009 when police raided the premises and seized the total tournament prize pool.
