High Stakes Poker competitor Alan Meltzer passes away
The poker world was deeply saddened to learn that Alan Meltzer passed away after his friend and often competitor at the table David “viffer” Peat posted on Twitter that Meltzer had died at his home from as yet unknown causes.
WPT Amneville starts today

Genting Poker charity tournament tonight
Genting Poker will be hosting its second charity tournament of 2011 later tonight with a seat in the Palm Beach Big Game worth £1,000 on offer to the winner. The site hosted a special tournament earlier this year which raised £1,630 for St Mary's Hospice in Birmingham.

Mariusz Srok wins first 2011-12 Sky Poker Tour event
The first leg of the Sky Poker Tour 2011-12 has concluded with more than 600 players taking part over four events at Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottingham. The main attraction was the £200 6-max event that attracted 194 runners.

PokerStars were extremely quick to pay their players post Black Friday. As we all know, things haven't been quite as simple at Full Tilt Poker. The one name that has been almost forgotten is that of the CEREUS Network, the home of UB.com and Absolute Poker.
