So there I was, minding my own business, when a Vietnamese blur of clanging jewellery shoots past me, says hello to everyone before drinking the bar dry and leaving.
WSOPE £10,000 Main Event Kicks Off
My day began badly – there are two tournaments being covered today and I thought I’d drawn the longer of the two straws as the other is a piddly little £150 buy-in. As it turns out I received a phone call saying that Brian Townsend and a load of CardRunners instructors were at the smaller buy-in.

WSOP Europe Event 2: HORSE down to four
It was a golden chance for Ivey to make back some of that money he has out on the bracelet prop bets, but it wasn't to be for the man from Atlantic City. Ivey is out, and it is now wide open for the winner of the second event here in London.
WSOP Event 3: Just the usuals.
The final table of the HORSE tournament is in full flow, with Lederer, Ivey and co. battering the life out of each other with their fixed limit bets. In the meantime, the rest of the rail is watching the £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha event.
