Ziigmund kills the CAP PLO games for over $500,000
We recently reported that Ziigmund had lost over $600,000 in a few days and was taking a summer break from poker. Apparently the CAP PLO games don’t count as Finnish pro Sahamies took to the $200/$400 tables and won back most of his early August deficit.

Mark Seif goes deep in UBOC 5 heads-up event
The Ultimate Bet tournament series currently running on the CEREUS network is in no danger of falling short of its $4,000,000 guarantee. Last night the $1,050 heads-up event surpassed the guarantee by $19,000 meaning a first prize of $40,000.
URnotINdanger2 wins more than $400,000 from durrrr
It’s not quite the same young heads-up player from Maryland that we want to see Tom “durrrr” Dwan take on heads-up but close enough. Scott “URnotINdanger2” Palmer got in before jungleman12 officially begins the 50,000 hand chellenge and won a tidy clip from Dwan.

Patrik Antonius takes on Phil Galfond, Ziigmund; wins $300k
Yesterday we reported that the two Finns and the Yank (Antonius, Sahamies and Galfond) competed at the $200/$400 PLO tables, thankfully uncapped. Yesterday Galfond won over $260,000 against the two Finns but today Antonius dominated.
UBOC 5 – Joshua “PBDRUNKS ”Van Duyn wins and final tables
The first day of the $4m guaranteed UB Online Championship 5 got off to a roaring start, for one player in particular. Joshua “PBDRUNKS” Van Duyn had an awesome day in Event #1 - not only did he make the final table of the $33 event running concurrently but he took down the entire $200,000 guaranteed $322 NL tournament.

David “raptor” Benefield loses over a quarter million dollars
A former high stakes mainstay and ex-roommate of Tom “durrrr” Dwan, David “Raptor” Benefield isn’t often seen at the nosebleed Full Tilt tables. However, he did emerge for the $200/$400 PLO games yesterday and despite putting in 1,766 hands lost more than $265,000.
Phil Galfond wins $280,000 at PLO on Full Tilt
Phil Galfond, better known online as OMGClayAiken, is one of online poker’s most profitable players and a former champion of the $10,000 PLO championship at the WSOP. He is often considered among one of the best PLO players in the world and last night reinforced that title by earning the better part of $300,000 against tough competition at high stakes.

Jungleman12 vs. Durrrr to begin in “a few days”
Despite the fact that Tom “durrrr” Dwan has yet to finish off his 50,000 hand conquest of Patrik Antonius, he has arranged to start his next heads-up marathon with Daniel “jungleman12” Cates soon, prompting more rumours that Antonius has bought out of the challenge.

FTOPS XVII – series summary
Almost as quickly as it begun, Full Tilt Poker's seventeenth run of their major online tournament series is over with the $600 Main Event concluding as a TyboVegas victory with a $3,000,000 prize pool. It’s not the first time it has happened at FTOPS but Full Tilt lost out on this one having to make up the $3m guarantee with ‘only’ 4,805 entrants.
