Gus Hansen, despite hopping around London on crutches, has had a great week. He’s already locked up at least £180,000 in the World Series of Poker Europe Heads Up High Roller event and is within one match of taking home his first WSOP bracelet. In addition to this, he has won almost three quarters of a million dollars online.

Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies followed up his weekend destruction of Cole South and Brian Hastings with some more PLO action last night. This time the stakes were reduced to ‘just’ $300/$600 and he couldn’t top the leaderboard. That honour went to Tom “durrrr” Dwan who boosted his bankroll by $365,000 in a little under 3,000 hands.

The CAP PLO games were boring for railbirds and – apparently – players alike. Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is known for anything if not his gamble and has been wanting fully-stacked Pot-Limit games for a while. He got his wish thanks to Brian Hastings and Cole South, who have really been going at Sahamies on the PLO tables.
