Jungleman12 to take up the durrrr challenge?
It certainly seems that the heads-up Durrrr Challenge match between Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrrr” Dwan is dead in the water. Dwan has a huge lead with less than a quarter of the lands left to play and it would not be surprising if Antonius has simply bought out of the bet.

Mazzze wins increased PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up tournament
Now that the World Series of Poker has closed its doors to all but nine players for another year, the Sunday tournaments on PokerStars are back in full swing – take, for example, the Sunday Warm-Up that saw a huge increase on last week’s 2,990 field as almost 4,000 players entered to create a prize pool of just under $800,000.

Patrik Antonius was famously captured declaring his disdain for the WSOP and the bracelets, which he expressed no interest in seeking. We can’t tell you how his decision to focus on high-stakes cash games has gone for him as most of the big games in the past two months have not been online. Andy Bloch wins $140,000 at Full Tilt Poker
The action at high stakes online has been very dull over the World Series of Poker, which is why a layer of dust had to be blown from this section of the website before you could read this. It seems to have bought players out of the woodwork though, notably Full Tilt Poker Pro Andy Bloch.

Online poker bill in California to be redrafted
Planned legislation for online poker in the state of California has stalled after State Senator Rod Wright announced he had withdrawn his California Online Poker Law Enforcement Compliance and Consumer Protection Act at the end of last month.

For some people winning a bracelet can be the highlight of a poker career. For Patrik Antonius though, a bracelet is just a piece of jewellery, and not an especially nice one at that. It's something great to own to not something to get especially worked up about, especially when there is more serious cash to be made online.

Understandably there’s been a drought of high stakes cash game action online in the past week or two as the regular players are all competing in the World Series; whether like Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Phil Ivey they’re madly making bracelet bets or simply going for glory and pride, they’re certainly not playing online.
