As expected, numbers were up for Day 1B of the EPT event in Warsaw yesterday. 115 players bought in with 84 remaining by the close of play. Topping the bill on Day 1B was Anthony Lallouche.
London Poker Circuit returns tomorrow
The London Poker Circuit makes a welcome return to The Sportsman Casino in Marble Arch tomorrow in the form of its Friday Fifty event. As the name suggests, the buy in for the season opener is £50 + £15 but it’s possible to satellite in for just £8.
Sky Poker’s 200 millionth hand approaches
Sky Poker is expected to deal its 200 millionth hand any time now and the lucky player who wins that hand can look forward to receiving a number of special prizes. If playing on a cash table, the winner will take a cash bonus of 200 times the big blind. If they’re on a tournament table (either an MTT or a sit n go) then they will win cash worth £200 worth their entry fee.

Jamie Gold Hosts Successful Charity Tournament
2006 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jamie Gold continues in his role of poker ambassador – raising money for various charities by hosting charity poker tournaments amongst the rich and famous. Most recently he hosted a celebrity charity tournament on behalf of Children’s Institute Inc.
2009 World Poker Finals Series Begins
The World Poker Tour has moved to the world-famous Foxwoods Casino, Connecticut, with a fantastic selection of 20 poker tournaments including the big daddy – a $15,000 World Poker Tour championship event.

The poker caravan has moved to Eastern Europe this week with the start of EPT Warsaw.
The Best Damn Poker Show to air on The Poker Channel
The 2nd season of Fox’s The Best Damn Poker Show is now available to viewers in Britain on The Poker Channel UK. The Apprentice style show pits Phil Hellmuth up against Annie Duke in a contest to see who is the better poker teacher. It will air on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 10pm, starting Oct 20th on Sky channel 166.
