Christophe Benzimra Takes Down EPT Warsaw
The PokerStars European Poker Tour saw over 200 players take to the tables in Warsaw, Poland, and after a week of tournament action a French entrepeneur named Christophe Benzimra finished top of the field. He collected over 1.4m PLN (£317,000) for besting Alfio Battisti heads-up.
Freddy Deeb Leads WPT Festa al Lago Final Table
Kassam "Freddy" Deeb, who has four previous final table appearances and two titles on the World Poker Tour in addition to a $50k HORSE bracelet from the WSOP, will be coming to the Festa al Lago final table with the chip lead and a good chance of winning the $1.2m first prize.

Clayton Mozdzen leads EPT Warsaw
55 of the 148 players who took their seats at EPT Warsaw yesterday will be back for Day 3 with Canadian qualifier Clayton Mozdzen leading the way on 332,300 chips. Day 1 leader Carter Phillips suffered some early swings but a late rally pushed him back up to the leading pack.
Marc Goodwin likens Internet players to “subnormal primates”
All eyes were on motormouth Luke Schwartz heading into this week’s episode of Late Night Poker and he certainly lived up to his reputation with plenty of chat and some real trash talk aimed at arch nemesis Andrew Feldman. More surprising was the outburst from Marc Goodwin who had some pretty interesting things to say about Internet players.
Mike Matusow Leads WPT Festa al Lago
The World Poker Tour Festa al Lago $15,000 event began yesterday, with the inaugural late registration for a WPT event applying on Day 2 today. This meant only one Day 1, that saw the fall of many top names but another take the lead – Mike Matusow, Full Tilt Pro and multiple WSOP bracelet-winner, is ahead of the field on 224,200 chips.

WPT Festa al Lago Allows Late Registration
The WPT has been trying very hard to improve – at the Borgata Open, the guarantee was upped and the buy-in was lowered. To their credit, it worked, and the prize pool was exceeded as over 1,000 players took to the felt.
