Paradise Poker Tour announced
Hot on the heels of the new PokerStars UK and Ireland Tour comes news of another series of live events. The Paradise Poker Tour makes its debut at the Empire Casino, London on 12th and 13th December.
Record participation in PartyPoker’s Gladiator
Party Poker’s Gladiator promotion has gotten off to a flying start, with a record amount of players competing for cold hard cash and the chance to enter the 2010 Aussie Millions tournament in January.
New season of the Sky Poker Tour starts this weekend
Snooker players are no strangers to pots. Former Vic regular, Michael Arnold, jailed for fraud
If you have read Victoria Coren’s excellent new book For Richer For Poorer then you’ll no doubt be aware of an outlandish character called Michael Arnold and his famous call of “one seat here!” at the Vic. As was hinted in the book Arnold was involved in a court case that left some wags saying, “one jail cell here”.

Betfred Ladies Poker Tour heads to London this Saturday
After last month’s stop in Calahonda, Spain the Betfred Ladies Poker Tour heads to the slightly less glamorous surroundings of west London for its next leg. The Western Club in Acton is the venue for the eighth stop on the women only tour and it’s the last chance to win a seat in the grand final where a Betfred sponsorship package worth £20,000 is up for grabs.
Full European Poker Tour schedule announced
The full schedule for the second half of the PokerStars European Poker Tour has been revealed, with eight events culminating in the Monte Carlo grand final at the end of April 2010.

Late Night Poker final airs: Luke Schwartz wins biggest pot

However, the historical programme (in 1999 it was the first televised poker show to use the now taken-for-granted hole card cameras) has commenced the grand final of its most recent run.

Jean Robert Bellande follows prop bet trend

Yesterday we brought you the news that Huck Seed has been challenged to run a mile in less than 4 minutes 39 seconds. Now Jean Robert Bellande is getting in on the act. The nightclub owner turned poker player has been challenged to bench press ten reps of 365lbs. He has until 4th July next year to get into shape and will be getting odds of 8/1.
