Isildur1 beats Ziigmund out of $1,000,000
Isildur1's continuous multi-million dollar swings resumed at Full Tilt Poker last night, as Scandinavia went to war with millions of dollars at stake. Swedish phenomenon Isildur1 took on Patrik Antonius and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies - aka Finland's finest - across six tables of heads-up Hold 'em and Omaha.

Lellouche and Sarwer lead the way in Vilamoura
Antony Lellouche and Jeff Sarwer are holding the big stacks at the end of Day 2 of the latest EPT event in Portugal. If that sentence sounds vaguely familiar then it should be as the same two players headed the field on Day 1B and Day 2 at EPT Warsaw last month. Both players boosted their stacks this time round by busting some very high profile names, namely Shaun Deeb and Jason Mercier.
Mark Trett wins Coral sponsorship package worth £10,000
Recruitment consultant Mark Trett has 10,000 reasons to be cheerful this morning after winning the Coral British Masters Of Poker Tour final play off in Blackpool last night. Trett, who collected £12,650 for winning the Teesside leg of the Tour in July, earned himself a Coral sponsorship package worth £10,000 by winning the eight-seater sit and go finale.

Tom 'durrrr' Dwan beats Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies in Full Tilt Million Dollar Challenge
Neither tiredness nor Ziigmund could keep Tom Dwan away from victory at Les Ambassadeurs in Mayfair yesterday but both ran him pretty hard. Resuming Day Two of the Full Tilt Million Dollar Challenge, after another epic all night encounter with the mysterious Isildur1, Dwan staged a classy comeback to take the honours against Ilari Sahamies.
Jeff Sarwer leads the way at EPT Vilamoura
A field of 186-players sat down for Day 1B of the latest EPT event in Portugal yesterday and at the close of play there was a familiar face at the top of the leader board. Anyone who followed the action at EPT Warsaw will be aware of Canada’s Jeff Sarwer who was chip leader for much of the final day in Poland. The chess master continued that excellent form in Vilamoura, dominating proceedings on the second opening day, eliminating ElkY and building a stack of 142,000.
