Everest Poker sign a second French pro in Fabrice Soulier
The French government have reduced taxes on poker players and the country seems to be celebrating – Everest Poker is, too. November Niner Antoine Saout is already on their pro roster but a fellow Frenchman has been snapped up by the site – Fabrice Soulier can now put his name on that list.
PokerStars buy leading mobile development firm
The PokerStars software client isn’t currently available on mobile phones but that could change as the site has bought mobile gaming software development firm Cecure Gaming.

Can you help find a missing London poker player?
A campaign has been launched to find London based poker player John Regan. John, originally from Derbyshire but now based in Primrose Hill, north London, went missing in the early hours of Thursday 19th November.

UIGEA regulations postponed by six months
The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has been delayed six months from December 1 until June 2010, says Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association (iMEGA) Chairman Joe Brennan.
LA Poker Classic to smash records in 2010
The 2010 LA Poker Classic will smash records, promise the WPT. The 50-event tournament series includes the $10,000 WPT Championship over 43 days at the Commerce Casino. Organisers are estimating a prize pool over $20,000,000.
2010 Irish Open venue confirmed
Sponsor of the Irish Open, Paddy Power has confirmed that the 2010 festival will be held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin. It’s the second time that the venue has hosted Ireland’s premier tournament - the first was back in 2007 when Marty Smyth was crowned champion on home turf.

Female OAPs arrested in Cypriot poker raid
Poker may not be perfect in the UK but at least we don’t usually have to put up with nonsense like this. Cypriot police raided a house in Limassol after receiving complaints that a private house had been turned into a gambling club. The frequenters of this supposed den of iniquity turned out to be 42 female pensioners including one sprightly 95-year-old. The alleged host was a mere whipper snapper of 50.
British Columbia Poker Champion charged with manslaughter
The winner of last week’s British Columbia Poker Championship, Sophon Sek, has been arrested in connection with one of the worst gang related incidents in the Canadian province’s history.
