Poker Million heat three result
Another top class field was in attendance for heat three of Full Tilt Poker Million yesterday. Once again top class American talent went up against the best that Britain and Europe has to offer and in the end there was a home victory as Tony Bloom took the honours.

Twitter isn't just about Steven Fry and amusing YouTube clips. The medium yesterday confirmed that the biggest name in the poker universe, Phil Ivey, will be on hand for the maiden WPT London event that takes place at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair from 29th August.

Face off against Evander Holyfield at Poker in the Park
Knocking out a world heavyweight boxing champion would certainly be something to tell the grandchildren. The knock out would of course be in poker rather than boxing but would be an impressive feat nevertheless. The search for the latest Full Tilt Poker Poker Million winner is under way with the opening heats taking place yesterday. The opening qualifier was full of familiar faces with American heavyweights Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Greg Mueller squaring off against Brits Richard Asby, Ross Boatman, Stuart Rutter and Internet qualifier Thomas Maxwell.

Yesterday we brought you news that Luke Fields had won the latest leg of the GUKPT Summer Series in Sheffield. It was wasn't just Yorkshire that was hosting a Summer Series event though, with Norman Levitt taking the honours in Dundee.

James Dempsey joins Full Tilt’s Red Pros after great WSOP
Full Tilt Poker's ever-growing list of Red Pros has been made bigger by the addition of British WSOP bracelet-winner James “Flushy” Dempsey, who also managed a runner-up spot against Sam Farha in the $10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event.
Michael “Superbad” Cera is “a shark” at poker
Celebrities playing poker is something one gets used to when reporting on the poker world, but Superbad star Michael Cera is definitely not one that we saw coming. Although he does suit the derogatory stereotype of the Internet poker geek... at least in his movies.
