It seems a little unbelievable that, when Phil Ivey had secured the chip lead from Bill Chen in the $3,000 HORSE on his way to winning his eighth bracelet, he asked how much first prize was. It was over three hundred thousand dollars, but Ivey yesterday proved why he needs the motivation of a prop bet to compete in tournaments.

Finally! After coming up to two years of Tom “durrrr” Dwan taking on Patrik Antonius across four $200/$400 Omaha tables (in tiny, tiny sessions) it seems the two have resolved to get the last 20 per cent of hands over with so that Dwan can take on jungleman12.

What with all the talk of jungleman12 taking the durrrr challenge, it had almost been forgotten that Dwan and Patrik Antonius were still competing in their incredibly lengthy 50,000 hands. Rumours that Antonius had bought out of the bet were proved false when Dwan and the Finn took to four challenge tables yesterday and played 280 hands.
