Dom Mahoney wins Teesside Coral Masters
Anyone hitting the rail at the Gala Casino in Stockton yesterday evening could have been forgiven for thinking they'd gone back in time. There was a very familiar look to the heads up proceedings as Dom Mahoney and Mark Trett battled it out for the Teesside Coral Masters title for the second year running.
BLOG – The Poker Hall of Fame
Before the final table of the 2010 World Series of Poker $10,000 Main Event plays out and awards almost $9m to the eventual winner, there will be a lot of pomp and ceremony about the entrants to the Poker Hall of Fame. One or two players selected from a publically voted shortlist will make it in. Who is most deserving, you ask? I can’t tell you that but I can tell you what I think about some of the names being debated.
Poker Hall of Fame 2010 nominations – ballots received
The adjudicators for the 2010 Poker Hall of Fame nominations have received their ballots and will vote from a shortlist of ten players to decide which one or two of the selected few will join the esteemed group.
Foxwood Mega Stack XVII gets 2,200 players; $1m prize pool
The twelfth run of the Foxwoods casino Mega Stack tournament series has come to an end with over two thousand players generating a prize pool of over a million dollars across the three tournaments. Each event was hosted by a different poker personality as 2003 WSOP champion Chris Moneymaker, Darvin Moon and Jonathan Duhamel.

Party Poker World Open – We have a winner
2010 has been a memorable year for Sam Trickett. The young Brit had some great results at the World Series and has been prolific in the cash games as usual. He now has a title to celebrate after winning the Party Poker World Open yesterday.
Charity tournament from Byte Poker this Tuesday
Poker players will get the chance to show their charitable side this week in a special event at the Loose Cannon Club in London.

Michael Mizrachi sued for breach of contract
Michael Mizrachi has truly had a roller coaster of a year in the poker media. First he was the Grinder who had ground himself broke, owing over $350,000 to the taxman. This was later cleared up; Mizrachi had some failed property investments and a bad accountant.
UK and Ireland jam-packed with poker this weekend
We all know that our fine country is playing hostess to some of the hottest poker action around this month, but the weekend is a truly remarkable one as four major tournaments take place concurrently in the UK and across the water in Ireland.

Juha Helppi wins PartyPoker World Open VI Heat 6
Juha Helppi has become the sixth player to make the final table of the PartyPoker World Open VI after beating a tough table in the sixth heat and taking on Jennifer Tilly heads-up.
