Michael Eiler wins PokerStars EPT Vienna for €700,000
Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu couldn’t make the run for the EPT title that would have given him poker’s Triple Crown and the All-Time Money Earner title once more. Unfortunately he was on the wrong side of a cooler that totally took the momentum from his charge at the EPT Vienna title and flipped the final table dynamic.

Daniel Negreanu leading EPT Vienna final table
Daniel Negreanu has weaved his way through a hefty field of 587 in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Vienna €5,000 Main Event and has arrived at the final table as chip leader; with two million plus he is a few big blinds ahead of German pro Konstantinos Nanos.
Jason Mercier, Gavin Smith alive and cashing at WPT
There are now just three tables left in the World Poker Tour Foxwoods World Poker Finals with several big names in the field including previous WPT winners Gavin Smith and Hoyt Corkins. Also alive are Jason Mercier and Sorel Mizzi, who recently won the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up for a six-figure score.

24 left at EPT Vienna – Negreanu second
80 players started Day 3 at the Kursalon Palace in Vienna and by the close of play just 24 players were still in contention for the €700,000 first price. Greek doctor Konstantinos "arxigos" Nanos leads the way but all eyes will be on the person who ended the day second in the chip counts, Daniel Negreanu.

As the November Nine concept has only been in place since Peter Eastgate won the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event there are still some wrinkles to iron out. As Ty Stewart, WSOP Vice-President, put it: “in 2008 we wondered if anyone would show up and in 2009 we wondered if anyone would leave!”
