Daniel Negreanu leading EPT Vienna final table

Daniel Negreanu leading EPT Vienna final table

Sunday, 31 October 2010

Daniel Negreanu has weaved his way through a hefty field of 587 in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Vienna €5,000 Main Event and has arrived at the final table as chip leader; with two million plus he is a few big blinds ahead of German pro Konstantinos Nanos.

Negreanu has a hell of a lot to play for in this tournament: a win
would not only give him the EPT/WPT/WSOP combination gained only by
Gavin Smith and Roland de Wolfe, but the €700,000 payday translates to
$976,200 and would take Kid Poker to $13,812,212 in lifetime
tournament earnings - $170,000 ahead of current leader Phil Ivey.
Joining Team PokerStars Pro Negreanu at the final table is a former
PokerStars Sunday Million champion, Michael “MAE9690” Eiler, also from
Germany. Six other players as well as Eiler stand between Negreanu and
a huge payday and another broken record for the PokerStars pro. The
final table lineup is as follows:
Seat 1: Luca Cainelli - 1,935,000
Seat 2: Daniel Negreanu - 5,070,000
Seat 3: Matthias Lotze - 1,210,000
Seat 4: Andreas Wiese - 730,000
Seat 5: Martin Hruby - 975,000
Seat 6: Konstantinos Nanos - 3,635,000
Seat 7: Michael Eiler - 2,160,000
Seat 8: Bruno Launais - 1,785,000
