Tony Hachem claims ANZPT Player of the Year... again
Tony Hachem recently finished in 10th place at the ANZPT Darwin main event, bubbling the final table but good for his seventh cash in this season of the tour and locking up the Player of the Year ANZPT title for the second year running and giving him over $300,000 in live tournament cashes.

Tom Marchese leads WPT Foxwoods final table
Hoyt Corkins, Jason Mercier and Sorel Mizzi all missed out on the six-handed final table of the World Poker Finals in Foxwoods for the World Poker Tour championship. Instead, online player Tom “kingsofcards” Marchese leads the way as the final plays out tonight.
Lewis “Browndog” Taylor wins Sky Poker Tour Blackpool.
Online player Lewis Taylor, who goes by ‘Browndog’ on the Sky Poker client, beat a sell-out field of 150 players to win the Sky Poker Tour event in Blackpool for the third season of the national tour. Taylor takes home £4,000 for beating Ron Musson heads-up.

The Gala Maybury Casino in Edinburgh was the venue for the final leg of the Coral British Masters Poker Tour over the weekend with Jonny Denton taking the title.
SCOOP champion Terrence Chan denied entry to USA
Terrence Chan is known as one of the best Limit Hold ‘em players in the world – he amazed the online poker world last year at the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker when he won the medium buy-in and high buy-in Limit Hold ‘em events at the same time and has accrued almost a million dollars in tournament earnings including a WSOP final table and an APPT title in 2007.
Mama Mizrachi speaks out
Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi made history this year in many ways – not only has he become the first $50,000 Players’ Championship winner to make the coveted November Nine final table of the Main Event in the same WSOP; he and his brothers became the only set of four siblings to all cash in the Main Event – though none did quite so well as Michael, sitting pretty at the final table.
