Erik Seidel is a boss. We know this because he has won a metric shitload of money this year with final tables and victories in $10,000 to $250,000 buy-in events pouring out of his posterior like nobody’s business. With over $5.5m earned this year he’s truly a tournament poker force to be reckoned with.

When we heard Erik Seidel had won the World Poker Tour High Roller $100k buy-in event, we assumed it was a joke – of course he couldn’t possibly win ANOTHER huge six-figure entry event. When we heard that Dusk Till Dawn were hosting a 5,000-player Grand Prix IV, we assumed it was a joke – of course they can’t TRIPLE the UK attendance record.

So far, with big fields in Event #4 ($5,000 NL) and Event #3 ($1,500 PLO8) and a 128-strong field for the inaugural $25,000 Heads-Up Championship, the aftermath of Black Friday has not hit the 2011 WSOP. However, with no online nosebleed cash games available some predicted the side action would get huge. Some were right.

888poker.com has revealed details of an expanded live Super Stack series which will feature six stops at the Fox Poker Club in London and at Birmingham's Circus Casino. The buy-in for each preliminary event is £165 (£300 for the Grand Final) with starting stacks of 20,000 chips and a 40-minute clock.

After blocking US players after the Black Friday indictments, Victory Poker has gone a step further and ceased operating as a poker site. It will instead now run as an affiliate site for the Cake Poker Network. All accounts, rewards and tournament tickets have now been transferred to Cake.
