Full Tilt players hoping to get at least one step closer to finding out if they will be getting their money back will have to wait a little longer than expected after the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) announced a delay to its latest hearing.

Season Three of the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) makes a very welcome return in December and PokerStars is giving away Main Event packages worth £1,550 as well as plenty of other prizes in its new UKIPT Poker League.

Thanks to everyone who turned up to Poker in the Park and the British Poker Awards, especially, to help us celebrate an amazing year for British poker. Hosted by comedian Lucy Porter and Bluff’s very own Michael Caselli, this was our chance to honour the great and the good of UK poker.

Poker in the Park 2011 has concluded, and what a glorious weekend it was. Once again, the Gods smiled on us weather-wise and delivered some sunshine to a British September. I managed to – in this order – listen to a lecture, play in the Super 2012 freeroll at the Bluff Europe tent, listen to another lecture, get some free stuff, watch music and card tricks... oh, and I had beer. So that’s always a plus.

Twitter has been flooded with sadness and condolences after it was announced that Thuy Doan had passed away from cancer at the age of 25. The poker player and PokerRoad blogger was well known and loved within the poker community and will be sorely missed.

Poker in the Park is a little bit like Christmas, if your childhood Christmases were less about Santa and stockings and more about poker and pretty girls. If so, you had far better Christmases than I did and your parents are either frightfully negligent or simply know how to throw a party. Today I will be jetting off down the Central Line to Oxford Circus, and there to Hanover Square to attend the fifth annual Poker in the Park extravaganza.

The European Poker Tour has crowned another German champion as Martin Schleich took home the PokerStars Red Spade trophy as well as a tasty €850,000 for defeating Dragan Kostic heads-up. The Spaniard still picked up over half a million Euro for his runner-up finish.
