Ziigmund wins almost $200k at high stakes PLO
Post-Black Friday action on Full Tilt has been a rarely-seen thing but it’s usually Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies who gets things going again at the Omaha tables. Such was the case last night when Sahamies, despite recently stating he was “through” with Full Tilt and PokerStars, logged a good session against Sauce1234.

Ariel “ArielBahia” Celestino wins FTOPS XX Main Event
To call the numbers from the FTOPS XX $640 Main Event ‘disappointing’ would not be entirely accurate. To generate a prize pool of over $2.7m with 4,666 entries after losing a huge chunk of players to Black Friday is a remarkable achievement on Full Tilt’s part. One person who won’t be complaining is Ariel Celestino who won $346,696.49 and the FTOPS XX title.

Finnish players continue domination of high stakes games
Finland continues to be the main beneficiary of Black Friday as Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, Patrik Antonius and Jens Kyollonen continued to win money at the high stakes tables. We already reported that the three were up over $2.1m but now thanks to renewed efforts from Ziigmund and Antonius, it’s over $3m.

You may know the name NoParasan from our reports of the nosebleed action on Full Tilt Poker. The Russian player, whose real name is unknown, is a high-stakes PLO specialist with almost a million dollars in cash game earnings from Omaha under his belt.

Viktor “Isildur1” Blom defeats qualifier in mini-showdown
The SuperStar Showdown reduced the stakes and adjusted the format for the second time in nine runs this past Sunday with Viktor “Isildur1” Blom beating qualifier “MASTERMIXUS” out of $1,279 over 2,500 hands of $5/$10 NL across four tables.
Finland takes over $2.2m from the high stakes tables last week
Well we all kind of knew that when the US bowed out of online poker the Scandinavians would be the dominating force. This was proven over the weekend when three Finnish players were the biggest winners at the Full Tilt Poker PLO games, bringing back over $2.2m into the Finnish economy.

Viktor “Isildur1” Blom to take on SuperStar Showdown qualifier
Despite a sudden lack of opponents post-Friday, the SuperStar Showdown is rolling on because let’s face it, it would take more than the might of the US Government to stop Isildur1 playing high stakes even if he were American. As it is, though, the Swedish phenom is accepting new challengers even now.

Cadillac1944 returns to tables; action heavy at PLO
Sunday was one of the most action-packed days online this year and not just because of over $10m guaranteed in tournaments on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. The unknown Cadillac1944 has apparently reloaded his Full Tilt account and the action was both fast and furious.
