World Series Of Poker Europe Free Million Dollar Game
$1 million is up for grabs from Betfair Poker in their new Free Million Dollar Game promotion. For the next 18 weeks Betfair Poker will be hosting a series of regional freeroll tournaments. The top 18 players in each Daily Regional Freeroll will go into the Weekly Regional Freeroll with the winner of each Weekly tournament qualifying for the live Regional Final.
Christer Johansson wins the 2009 Irish Poker Open
39-year-old Swedish professional Christer Johansson outlasted a field of 700 runners to claim the 2009 Irish Poker Open Main Event. Johansson, whose previous biggest win was the €500,000 WPT Paris event in 2003 took home a first prize of €600,000.

The 3rd annual Poker In The Park festival will take place in Leicester Square, London on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August 2009. The extravaganza of poker will feature the usual selection of live tournaments, lectures and coaching clinics as well as the chance to meet some of the biggest names in the game.
