German rookie wins the latest Latin American Poker Tour event
He’s just 18 years old and still at high school but Dominik Nitsche is better off to the tune of $387,030 after winning the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) event in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

The identities of the new Team PKR Professionals have finally been revealed. The lucky six are PKR.tv commentator and former Live TV News Bunny, Ashley Hames, GUKPT winner Andrew Teng, Norwegian Kai Danilo Paulsen who reached the 2008 Irish Open final table, PKR Live runner up Henrik Eklund and PKR.com community regulars Raymond O’Mahoney and James Sudworth.
World Poker Tour announces new European events
The World Poker Tour has announced that in addition to Venice and Marrakech they will also be holding events in Barcelona and Northern Cyprus this year. Casino Barcelona will host the €5,000+300 buy in WPT Spanish Championship from 24th to 30th June 2009. 253 players battled for a prize pool of almost $2million in last year’s event which was eventually won by Casper Hansen.
