Boss Media, the group behind International Poker Network (IPN) has just registered their 3 millionth player. IPN has seen impressive growth in active daily players (up 14%) with registrations up a whopping 28%.

Isabelle Mercier has won the PokerStars Ante Up For Africa event at the EPT final in Monte Carlo. The €4,000 buy in event attracted a star-studded line up of 39 runners with around €250,000 raised for the relief effort in war torn Darfur in Sudan.

Exciting progress was made today to overturn the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) in the US. Representative Barney Frank, chairman of the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee has said that legislation will be introduced next week to abolish America’s ban on online gambling, an act which was imposed during the Bush administration and has now been in place for three years.
