Georges Tohme claims the London leg of the fledgling Paradise Tour
It wasn’t just Galway that was hosting a new Tour this weekend. The Casino at The Empire in London attracted a field of 257 players, including big names Praz Bansi and Willie Tann, for the debut event of the Paradise Series of Poker Tour.

Final table set at UKIPT opener
Paul Marrow is in the driving seat heading into the final table of the maiden PokerStars UKIPT event in Galway today. The Englishman holds a stack of 1,000,500 chips, a lead of 172,000 over nearest rival, American Ben Lefew.
Black Belt Poker announces second grading school
Neil Channing and his fellow Black Belt instructors will be doing their best Mr Miyagi impressions next month as the site goes on the hunt for more sponsored players. The initial grading selection takes place from Monday 18th January to Sunday 24th January 2010.
Sky Poker launches search for the Total Player
Sky Poker is hoping to unearth poker's equivalent of Joe McElderry in its new new X Factor style contest. The Total Player competition will see mentors Matt Broughton, Ed Giddins and David Tuckman comb the Sky Poker tables for promising players. The trio will then help the chosen few on the road to pro status.
