EPT Berlin heist trial begins
The trial of four young men accused of carrying out the daring raid on the EPT event in Berlin in March has begun at Berlin state court. Three of the quartet have reportedly admitted serious robbery and assault charges but refused to divulge the location of the missing €240,000.

Ross Johnson wins Coral British Masters Poker Tour Leeds
Considering the other attractions on offer at the moment (namely a small tournament series in Las Vegas and a football shindig in South Africa) a decent field of 69 players paid the £500 entry fee for the latest leg of the Coral sponsored British Masters Poker Tour in Leeds over the weekend.

I wish I liked football. Really, I do. As I write I'm sat in a pub with my friends and the atmosphere is electric, pulsating and throbbing with every changing dynamic of the game just seconds after kick-off. I'm probably the only one here not watching the big screen; checking the WSOP live updates instead.
