The G Casino was the venue for the Aberdeen leg of the GUKPT Summer Series with Deborah Masson pocketing a first prize of £3,670 after winning the £300 Main Event.
Masson outlasted a field of 33 players before seeing off James Garioch who finished in second for a £2,670 score. Nicholas Tan had earlier busted in third for £1,780 with William Hanratty in fourth for £990 and fifth placed Mark Dolan rounding off the in the money players with £790.The £150 NLHE freezeout attracted the biggest field of the weekend with 46 players taking part. David Gooch took the honours, earning £2,420. Timothy Boyle finished second for £1,660 with Kevin Robertson (£1,100) third, William Hanratty (£760) fourth, James Welsh (£550) fifth and Alexander Vong (£410) in sixth.Just 17 players were in the £100 NLHE Bounty Freezeout with Richard Scott (£635) winning followed by Stewart Barrie (£380) and Graeme Reith (£280) in third.All three tournament winners also collected seats in the end of season £150,000 Champion of Champions event.Players don't have long to wait for the next Summer Series events. The Walsall mini festival takes place at the Grosvenor Casino starting on Tuesday 22nd June and running until Sunday 27th June. It will feature a variety of Hold'em and PLO events with the main attraction being the £500 Main Event.The Newcastle Summer Series event takes place at the G Casino from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th June with five No Limit Hold'em events scheduled.
