Dave Colclough leads UKIPT Nottingham after opening flight
The latest leg of the UKIPT in Nottingham could be heading for the record books after a massive 491 runners bought in for yesterday's opening flight. An even bigger crowd is expected for the second day one which begins at noon today making the magical 1,000 runners a distinct possibility.

The €5,000 WPT National Diamond Championship in Paris is nearing the business end with just 31 of the original 188 starters still in contention.

Eastgate explains retirement and comeback
Peter Eastgate shocked the poker world last year with his decision to quit the game. Well his retirement appears to be of the Frank Sinatra variety as the Dane has said he will be back at the tables in the near future.

Charity poker tournament host cleared of attacking player
A tournament director from Cumbria has been cleared of assaulting a player taking part in one of his charity competitions. Steven Nicholls accused Ken Johnston, boss at Northern Poker Stars, of attacking him at an event in August which was raising funds for a charity climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.
UIGEA architect Senator Jon Kyl won't seek re-election
Arizona Senator Jon Kyl has announced that he will not be seeking re-election next year. The Republican has been a fierce opponent of online gaming and was one of the architects of the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) which requires financial systems to block fund transfers associated with Internet gambling.
