Late Night Poker may be an oldie as far as TV poker is concerned but it's still very much a goodie. The show will be returning to TV screens later this year, this time with a new sponsor.
WSOP 2011 – meet the November Nine [Editorial]
With the elimination of John Hewitt in 10th place at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event, he took a consolation prize of $607,882 for joining poker’s least-popular club: those of 10th place finishers in the Main Event. He joins former bubble boys Dean Hamrick and Jordan Smith in the lists of those who came oh-so-close to the brief immortality afforded to the nine final tablists at the WSOP Main Event.

Season ten of the World Poker Tour got off to a low key start with a largely unknown field (with apologies to Tony G, Toby Lewis, John Eames and Dominik Nitsche) hitting the tables in Slovenia.

WSOP 2011 – we have a November Nine
After eight days of poker we have finally reduced the 6,865-strong field in the 2011 WSOP Main Event down to a final table of nine. Our chip leader for the next four months is Czech player Martin Staszko, who takes more than 40m into play at the final table.
26 left at WPT Slovenia – Speranza leads
Just 26 of the 142 starters have made it through to Day 3 of the WPT event in Slovenia with Gianluca Speranza leading the chip counts. The Italian closed the day with a stack of 421,700 putting him just ahead of Manuel Blaschke who has 393,300.
